Draught at the brewery. Cloudy amber. Thick head. Yeasty, grapefruity aroma with a hit of phenols. Moderately bitter finish but rather yeasty and not all that bright.

First rating (same day as the rerate).Draught at Forrest Brewing Company, Forrest, on August 2, 2013.Clear brown color, tan head. Toffee, butterscotch, sweet taste. Toffee aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, low bitterness. Sweet, toffee, berry scent. The brewer mentioned to me that he intentionally left the butterscotch in the kegs, so I bought a bottle to bring with me and try later that night to see ow I liked it when the butterscotch was not present any longer.7/4/8/4/15=3.8Rerate (same day as the first rating).Bottled 50 cl from Forrest Brewing Company, Forrest, on August 2, 2013.Hazy copper color, big yellow head with lacing. Sweet, hoppy, citrus, some pine needles scent. Sweet, caramel, hoppy taste. Medium mouthfeel, high bitterness.7/4/7/3/15=3.6Seems I liked the butterscotch tasting draught version a bit more than the bottle, both were nice though!

Bottle, 10C. Dark copper with an inch of beige head that lasts pretty well. Grapefruit and kumquat aroma with some spices and light bread. Creamy mouthfeel. Moderately sweet with singed toffee, plenty of citrus flavours, some stone fruit. Bitter finish is dry and peppery with some pine. They say double IPA, but it’s pretty crisp and refreshing. I like the way there’s some interest in the malt side of things but there’s no heaviness or residual sweetness to it.
