We’ve gone back to the archives to resurrect the Bigfoot Double Stout. A long time Goat seasonal, Dave reckons it was first brewed in 2003 but it was definitely last brewed in 2013.
Brewed to the original recipe, with one difference - this year’s release is dry hopped for the first time. Chinook and Simcoe overlay the Bigfoot’s silky, chocolate malt body with intense citrus and pine characters.
APPEARANCE: Mahogany with ruby highlights.
AROMA: Chocolate, roasted coffee, citrus and pine.
FLAVOUR: Sweet malt and ester palate, finishing with roast malt cocoa notes and an assertive hop bitterness.
MALTS: Ale, Crystal, Roasted Malt.
HOPS: Super Pride, Goldings, Chinook, Simcoe.
OTHER INGREDIENTS: Nostalgia.

Growler, 7.2% ABV. 13C. Clear very dark brown with a modest tan head that lasts well. Aroma of treacle, chocolate, plums. Silky mouthfeel, low carbonation. Mouthfilling but dangerously easy drinking at 7.2%. Taste has toffee sweetness, roasted and hop bitterness, chocolate and plums. Finishes quite bitter, but no taste dominates. Very good and that lovely house texture is a big plus for me.
