Bottle. Golden, fine pearling carbonation, white lace. Cardboard malt nose. Hayes malt, light berry notes, low on bittering hops, dusty finish. Medium light chewy body. A bit muddled, needs to be cleaner to emulate a Kölsch.

Not familiar with the Kolsh style so 1st try. If I compare to normal golden ale certainly a bit more flavour. Summer drop.

Light, but missing most of the kolsch style. No crispness, no hop bite. As noted earlier, kind of bland

A dry, dusty aroma carries notes of citrus and biscuity malt. The taste has a creamy malt underlay with plenty of light lemon and tangerine citrus. The palate’s a little thin and it’s a bit short, but it’s a lively, interesting session beer.

Draught at the brewpub on July 14, 2013. As part of a tasting paddle.Stated to have 22 IBU.Clear straw yellow to pale golden color, white head. Sweet, herbal, hoppy taste. Herbal hoppy aftertaste. Well hopped for a traditional Kölsch, but works well for my taste. Medium to fizzy mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Some faint hints of butterscotch in the taste too, not disturbing the balance though. Sweet, malty, grainy scent, also hints of butterscotch. Leaves a nice lacing on the glass.

(Bottle) Hazy straw with decent white head. Pleasant citrusy aroma. Light body, good carbonation. Refreshing clean citrusy foretaste, a bit bland after that with some slightly harsh bitterness in the finish. Overall, OK but not special.

Pours golden amber with a large fading head.Nose shows sweet bready malt, floral hops and hints of citrus. Quite soft, almost plain.Similar flavours, hints of lemon, off-putting bready/grainy malt and a metallic bitterness.Carbonation is too high.
