Based on a classic Bohemian-style Pilsner, Coopers 62 has a straw-to-golden colour and dense, rich foam. Hopped, using a combination of traditional Saaz and Hersbrucker varieties, it has a medium-bodied palate and is generously fermented to produce a well-attenuated Pilsner-style lager.

From a 355ml bottle on 8/2/2015. Pours an ultra clear light golden with a small head. Has an unimpressive nose featuring light grain. In the mouth, it’s similarly uninspiring - sweet malt, grain, corn and the barest hint of bitterness. A bit rich for them to call this a pilsener. It’s very much comes across as a standard pale lager. Thin body and average carbonation. I’m a bit of an advocate for Cooper’s ordinarily, but this is not worth defending. Pretty poor effort from a pretty good brewery.

355ml bottle into schooner glass. Sweet malt nose. Light amber with sudsy head. Taste is clean, watery. Aftertaste is bitter minerals. Promises a lot but doesn’t deliver.

Pours amber with a large fading head.Nose shows vegetal notes, bready malt, and the usual coopers banana-like yeast. Also some faint spicy hops.Better flavours, more focus on the bready malt and spicy hops. Finishes a little harsh though with POR metallic notes amongst the bitterness.Body seems a bit watery and under-carbonated.

This is no pilsener. Bit of a lame effort from a fine brewery. Drunk on a nice 35 degree Aussie summers day so didn’ t have to do much to impress.

Bottle, yellow with small white head that laces well. Some malt and citrus hops aroma. Also some metallic notes. Crudely sweet malt. No real hop crispness. Dull aftertaste.

Bottle. Clear very pale gold with no head. Slightly vegetably aroma. Medium body with frothy / creamy carbonation. The flavour has a nondescript sweetness (not really malty) with an unpleasant vegetably taste and a little, short-lived, metallic bitterness in the finish. Not good.
