Black Coffee Brut IPA
The coffee used in this one was sourced from Margaret River Roasting Company and, with little to get in the way, this is its purest expression yet. This beer is suitably lean, supported by a substantive yet integrated level of booze that provides texture and weight. The alchemy continues with minimal bitterness and enzyme action drying the finish enough to mimic black cold brew coffee. This one pours a lovely dark brown colour and has huge coffee aromas as you’d expect.

Can. A Black Coffee Brut IPA is it? Bless. Dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of coffee - heavily roasted, some earth, berry and weedy notes. The aroma lacks the roundness of good cold brew but the taste is better but quite sweet at first. Finish is all fruity coffee. Enjoyable but far too dominated by coffee for me.
