250ml Bottle (Svenska Dagar 2008 @ Pikkulintu, Helsinki) - Black in colour with a tan head. Chocolatey aroma with liquorice also featuring. Rich tasting with coffee, plain chocolate and roasted malt. One to sip and savour.

Black with a lasting light brown head. Intense malt aroma of toffee and caramel, with some licorice. Dry and complex roasted flavour with all nuances of blackness, really delicious.

It came as a very pleasant surprise to find the 2007 vintage of this one on tap at bar set up by Den Tatoverede Enke, EBF in Copenhagen. Shining, rosewood body with no head. In-depth smell of dark malts and vanilla sweetness. Delicious taste of honey, malt-covered dark and dried fruits (plenty of raisin and prunes) with an everlasting finish of roasted bitterness added a charming spicy touch (Saturday afternoon, 13.09.2008).

Had this at the European Beer Festival, Kobenhaven 13-09-08 Pours black, wonderful oily texture and really thick substantial mouthfeel. Creamy, loads of coffee and dark fruits, good but not as good as the mighty Kaggen.

Tap at EBF. Pitch black with a full creamy brown head. Lots of pleasant roast. Chocolate, coffee. Mild, smooth, full & heavenly silky palate. A bit sticky. Not as complex as kaggen - but who gives a fuck really!

Draught at EBF08. Grainy, slightly rough aroma. Black colour, beautiful big brown head. Good sweet flavour, nice hoppiness. Sweet and sticky in a very good way. Harpiks (resin?) notes, hint of old cheese. Some honey notes. Very good.

Bottle 0,25l at The Bishops Arms, Luleå 4 Aug 08. Also labeled "Årgangsporter 2006". Black as coal. A mocca coloured head. Strong aroma of coffee, chocolate and roasted malt. Surprisingly easy to drink. A well balanced flavor in the same direction as the aroma and lasting almost forever. Aftertaste of chocolate. This is art! Drakk den på nytt på samme plass 18 Aug 10. Fortsatt en STOR opplevelse.

On tap@SBC 2008. Totally black body with a small brown head. Aroma is sweet roasted malt, roasted coffee, black chocolate, dry fruit and some alcohol. Flavor lives up to its expectation from the aroma. Incredible sweet, but well balanced with bitterness. Lots of roasted malt and coffee, chocolate and some nice and warming alcohol. Thick oily body and long finish, extremely nice beer. Coffee, liqueur and dessert at the same time.
