Odin's Tipple was meant to be a strong beer, but we changed our minds...its still strong but we wont follow the mega strong trend. It should be possible to make great beer without the extreme alcohol potency. Odin's Tipple is now approx 11% abv, it’s a dark almost black beer from lots and lots of chocolate malt. Its the malt that contributes the flavor...no added coffee or anything else, Its got a great body without being old engine oil and still very drinkable due to the wild yeast we use. This beer is made with a single strain of wild yeast and the recipe is dead simple.

Never seen anything this black! Totally opaque pitch black. Even the small head is dark brown. Really weird smell! Taste much softer than I expected based on appearance and smell. Interesting beer.

Bottle @ home. Deep black appearance with a dark brown head that dissipates quickly. Very roasty, dark chocolate, char, tar, light vanilla nose. Creamy chocolate malty, light vanilla, slightly burnt, full bodied, somewhat boozy flavor. Roasty chocolate aftertaste. One of my favorite Scandinavian Imperial Stouts but I honestly usually don’t enjoy Scandinavian Imperial Stouts.

Dark color, balck, with a medium sized brownish head. Deep aroma of roasted malts, already the liquorice can be noticed. Strong body, with a round mouthfeel and an evident alcohol perception; powerful chocolate flavor, roasted malts, and a good share of liquorice; quite sweet too. Good, but not the right balance and vibe for me.

Draught, KØ11. Good roasted aroma, also seems to have a little sweetness. Black colour, small stable dark brown head. The flavour is a bit sweet, but balanced by some alcohol and a bit of hops. Hop bite in the finish.

Very strong beer. The smell was kind of alcoholic along with roasty, chocolate aromas.

Opaque black beer with the darkest brown head I have ever seen! Crisp palate which wasn’t expected. Dark rich malt with a brandyish tone. Finishes dry and warming with a trace of banana. A bit different.
