This hybrid between a modern pale ale and a traditional Norwegian raw beer combines the flavours of old with the flavours of the new. With its light, tart and citrusy qualities it’s no wonder it’s our biggest seller. Aged in oak foeders and drawn off using a one vessel solera style method.

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a pale yellow with a slight haze and a white head. Nose is more apple cider than anything else. Light body, quite tart - lactic tartness - with some underlying baking yeast - and a slight spiciness. Making good Sours is difficult....130619

Draught at Arrogant Sour 2019.
Orange, medium hazy body, with a big, creamy, lacing off-white head.
Aroma of mandarin, citrus, dough, bread, some spices.
Tastes quite similar, with some more earthy notes.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation. Finishes medium spicy, moderate sweet, fruity, citric, a bit doughy, with some mandarin again.
Very nice. Interesting mix of fruity hops and rustic, spicy yeast notes. Works very well and drinks fresh, really quaffable stuff. Score: 7 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 15

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Hazy pale golden, small head. Funky nose with lots of pineapple. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Lots of pineapple, some lemon juice. Low bitterness. More interesting on paper than in reality.
