Cask at the brewhouse, Chicago, IL. Very malty aroma. Flat mahogany appearnce. Was somewhat of a shock to get a beer that wasn't cold. It actually is a very well done british bitter - as good as anything back home even ifyyou can sense that overmalting that foriegners do with oru bitters. But, honestly a good one. The cask is doing its magic clearly - not something you see stateside often.

09.12.2019 - 0.3l bottle from auchan in strasbourg. pours a slightly hazy pale amber with a medium dense head and a nice lacing. aroma of wood, honey, dry caramel, slight mango. flavour of wood, citrus, quite mild but easy drinkable.

Thuis uit een flesje. Amberkleur, roomwit schuim. Vlak aroma, wel een lekkere bitterheid in de smaak. Redelijk bier, goed doordrinkbaar.

Rasin and peacharoma with some dry hoppiness. Medium bodied, hoppy and very fruity flavor . Blackcurrant, peach, banana and orange. Long blackcurrant and hopbitter aftertaste.

Même si elle profite d'un équilibre très correct, cet Honkers Ale vient remplir le stock des bières sans grand intérêt. Compliqué de se passionner. En verre, nous sommes sur un ambré légèrement voilé sans mousse. Le nez est sur le mile, l'orange avec une pointe de fruits rouges et d'épices. L'attaque est peu aromatique avec un caramel qui prédomine, légèrement poivré et avec une touche d'orange. Elle présente également une très légère acidité. La deuxième bouche s'enrichit et se complexifie quelque peu avec des arômes de biscuit, de caramel, de petites notes de fruits rouges et notamment de cassis et une petite pointe herbacée. L’arrière est sur une amertume simple, légèrement herbacée mais peu intéressante (IBU de 30). Le final, court est sur une fraîcheur houblonnée également. L'alcool à 4,3 % est trop limité. Heureusement la présence en bouche est acceptable. Pas mémorable.

Some hop and malt aroma. Medium off-white head, lightly hazy amber color. A bit sour, a few bitterness at the end. Light to medium body, dry.
