Een bier vol karakter, licht zoet, met mooie fruittonen en een bittere afdronk.

Clear dark red-brown colour, small frothy tan head, disappears quickly, fair lacin. Sweet malty aroma, caramel, roasted, dark chocolate, dates, brown sugar, herbal, bit earthy. Taste medium sweet and moderate bitter, hopjes, roasty and earthy flavors. Medium body, light creamy texture, soft carbonation, finish at first medium sweet but quickly a lingering roasty bitterness is dominating, spicy and earthy notes. Not really your typical dubbel but nice anyway.

Bottle @ home. Clear dark red-brown color, medium sized beige head that leaves fair to good lacing. Aroma has malts, caramel, sweetness. Taste malts, tea, leaves, tea bitter. Average body, decent carbonation. Hmm not a really good abbey dubbel imo.
