On tap at Nøgne Ø, Zwanze Day. An unclear, golden colored beer with a dense, white head. Lightly funky aroma with the mostly piney hops dominating. A hint of alcohol and some sweetish maltyness blends in. It’s quite dry on the palate though, pleasantly carbonated, lightly warming and full-bodied, with a nice bitterness. Piney hops and some malty sweetness too. Lasting funky and bitter finish. Quite pleasant this one, indeed. 161001

Zwanze/ Nøgne Ø 2016. Golden-yellow color with a white head. Aroma is grapefruit, malt, hop, citrus.Flavor is grapefruit, malt, hop, citrus, peat, yeast. Medium body. A little bit messy.

Ugly hazy looking thing with a off white head - Some hops and yeasts in the aroma - Malt body with some hops and a sour, funky flavour there as well - The slightly sour bitter flavour goes into the finish - Did not like this at all

Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, citrus, pine, grape and something that reminds me of urine. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long citrus, pine and grapefruit finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Sampled at Nøgne Ø/Zwanze 2016. Unclear yellow golden body with a big, lacing white head. Aroma has citric fruit, hint of cat pee and smoke. Flavor is medium sweet malt, slightly peated, mild acidic fruit and wood, not so much bitterness. Medium bosy and aftertaste. Different and interesting take on the wild IPA style, but ends up a bit messy. Keep on trying.

Draft sample @ Haand fest ’16, Drammen. Shared with the Norwegian tasting crew. Trouble orange, col très important et persistant laissant un sale restant de mousse éparse collante au verre. Arôme rappelle un fromage renfermé, houblonné léger, fruité et agrumes, overkill avec un rétro chimique sur fermenté des houblons. Palais est plastic industriel, infecté, nail polish, fruité houblonné suave un peu le tout, just a huge mess.
