Cette bière fut créée pour un festival celtique pour remplacer la G…avec un prix bien plus modeste. Le succès fut au rendez-vous mais la G…offre également du merchandising qui l’a finalement emporté sur notre offre. La Mac a donc intégré notre gamme et sa nouvelle étiquette –le seul homme de la gamme, le Mac de ses dames- fait déjà parler d’elle, un nouveau succès en perspective ?

Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a murky dark brown with a frothy white head. The aroma is yeast grass hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light watery roasty hop bitter light metallic palate. Light bodied with average carbonation.

Dry stout originally named MacMill. Beige head, murky dark bronze colour but not as ’black’ as expected. Aroma of coffee beans, toasted bread, chocolate, bayleaf, raisins, sweet tobacco. Sweetish onset, candied fruits, roasted bitterness in the end; mouthfeel on the thin side and by far not as creamy as I had hoped.

Bottle pours clear , dark brown, hints of a red glow . Small white head . Smell is coffee / roasted malts, earthyness, bit sweet . Not too intense, but its a low ABV so its only natural . Taste is surprisingly bitter ( coffee and hop ) , very english style indead . Thin mouthfeel, but intense enough for the ABV . Certainly respectable within the style, but nothing rememorable . Bit too average for that

Flaska fån Beergium. Engelsk stout möter belgisk dito. UK: Fina rostade aromer, bra maltbas med rejäla smaker och samtidigt lätt och drickvänlig. B: Småbubblig i munnen, aningen belgisk jästsmak och lätt sötma. Smakar inte så mörkt som den ser ut, en hel del karamell och lite blommig humle som skapar fina övertoner ovanför de mer robusta rostade maltsmakerna. Fruktkompott och bränt trä gör smak- och doftbilden mer komplex. Bra ex. på att man kan göra öl med stora smaker och låg alkoholstyrka.
