33cl Fles sample bij Haagsche Broeder. Dubbel/Porter noemen ze het zelf. Donkerbruine kleur, beige kraag. Redelijk zoet, licht gebrand, ruikt als een geroosterde Dubbel, smaak is meer gebrand, zachtzoet, caramel, koffie, noten, hints van een klassieke Dry Stout, bitterzoete finish. Medium body. Prima bier.

Brewvermeetup. Draft @ Haagsche Broeder. Een dubbel/porter? Weird. Meer een porter. Lichte schuimkraag,

Bottle. Color: Almost black, stable beige head. Aroma: Roasted malt, chocolate, dark coffee. Taste: Pretty smooth mouthfeel. Notes of roasted malt, subtle fruity notes of blueberries, some chocolate and coffee / mocha, hints of licorice, nuts, light spicy hints. Hoppy background. Moderate to over moderate sweet and bitter, somewhat more bitterness at finish. Over medium body, just below average carbonation. Pretty long lasting finish. Nice one.

Bottle thanks to my Secret Sinterklaas. Dark brown color. Malt, roast and licorice in the aroma and flavor. Sweet. Sticky band roasty finish with licorice. Decent.

Bottled 10 okt 2018. Finally got my hands on some of this! Sweet, super smooth, lovely flavours of coffee and roast. Bit one dimensional and watery though. Still, yummy, but I expected something thicker with more licorice.

Bottle, bottled 11.10.2017 (thanks maakun). Pours dark brown with beige head. Aroma is sweet, fruits, malt, some booze. Flavor is sweet, bitter, slightly sour, fruits, malt, roast, brown sugar. Finish is roast with some booze warmth. Quite easy drinker. Overall: very good.Bit too boozy, but I guess it would mellow with some aging.

Bottle @ home for X-mas. Been in my cellar for a ridiculous 3 years or so, while I've never had this before. Anyway, pours a dark brown color, almost opaque. A nice beige head that doesn't last. Aroma's: brown sugar, dried fruit, raisins (definitely the age). Retronasal it's sweet, fruity, something herbal, spices, a bit oxidized. Flavor is light moderate sweet, dark malts, light spicy, light bitter. Medium bodied. Short finish. Very nice, but I hope I'll be able to try this fresh sometime. Oh, btw: Baltic Porter???? Abbey Dubbel would be more appropriate imho.
