On tap at Angry Chair, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of big bourbon barrels, dark fruit, bready caramel, and brown sugar. Flavour is rich and complex, with intense bourbon barrel depth, rich brown sugar, molasses, and toasted caramel. Lovely barrel character, wonderful malt, good amount of sugars. Fantastic.

Bottle, 75cl. A murky dark brown beer with a minimal sized beige head. Boozy, woody, barrel-ish aroma. Dark dried fruits, caramel, roasted malts, bourbon, dark chocolate, hints of coffee, some burnt malts and toffee. Some soy sauce. It’s full-bodied ,warming, softly carbonated and smooth on the palate, with lots of malty flavor. Roasted malts, dark dried fruits, bourbon, wood and soy sauce. Licorice hints, dark chocolate, some coffee and alcohol. Lasting finish. A very pleasant one, made to share. 210813

750ml (thx, John L.!) at Andrey's shared with Phill and Alex (thx, for sacrificing you St. Lam bottle, man, hehe). Vintage 2019. Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: sweet, malty, tons of bourbon, figs, some other dark fruits. Taste: along the same lines, very sweet. Overall: good one.
