Bottle (2017, release 6, 125 cases bottled, 10 months barrel aged) shared with Johnny. Opaque black color, medium sized fizzy brown colored head that diminshes quickly. Aroma is malts, roast, whisky. Flavor is similar: malts, roast, whisky, malt bitter, bitter with a slight tart note. Hmm not great, expected better.

On tap @ Avery Strong Ale Fest 2015. Dark brown appearance with a dark brown head. Coconut, whiskey, dark chocolate, caramel, toffee, and a bit of roast in the aroma. Lots of coconut and chocolate in the mouth. A bit thin. Kind of boozy. Overall, pretty enjoyable.

Tap at the brewery - pours pitch black - moderate lace - I’ve been meaning to revisit new batches of the base beer and this beer really motivates me - the whiskey barrel makes it a little boozy, but there is a lot of great stuff going on here - nose of brown sugar, tamarind, smoke, raisin, tannic notes - flavor hasa lot of earthy, peaty charactwr from the whiskey - sweet, but with a dry earthy whiskey and smoke quality - bittersweet chocolate - dark fruit - finish is a little hot, but this is fairly.

Bomber, bottle #426, release #2, anno 2013 courtesy of and shared with Omgrich.
