Bottle at Haket during Gothenburg Beer Festival 2011Sampled on Friday September 2, 2011Clear brown color, tan head. sweet sirupy scent. Sweet raissin taste. Smooth mouthfeel, no bitterness. Some at the festival cursed this and called it disgusting, I mainly call it sweet, like liquid raissins, even I with my sweet tooth couldn’t drink too much of this one, but for sipping it wasn’t bad at all!

Draught at Schelkunchik, St. Petersburg. Clear dark brown, no head. Aroma of lingonberry and rye bread. Underlying sweetness counteracted by a tartness. Light bodied with clean mouthfeel. Lots of rye bread, no bitterness. Refreshing, especially for a Baltika product.
