A dark reddish brown stout with a thin creamy dark brown head. In aroma, a smooth peaty chocolate with light coffee beans, and a bit of buttercotch. In mouth, a smooth stout with herbaceous notes, sweet vanilla, coffee, medium bodied, not bad. On tap at brewpub, Jan. 4 2011.

Au fût @ brewpub. Brune avec des teintes acajou, pas de mousse. Arôme, malt/grillé avec des notes de lactose et caramel. Palais, sucre lactose donnant un cote café au lait, avec des notes de chocolat pour une toute fine amertume. malt/grillé. En bouche, le palais est sec avec une sensation que le sucre lactose est un peu trop en avant, au fini la bière reste bien malté/moka, avec des notes de toffee.

Pours mahogany with thin white head. The aroma is roasty to nearly burnt to earthy to a sliver of dark esterinesss to spicy and then black licorice. The taste is roasty, earthy, near burnt malts, a mild level of black licorice and a touch of dark fruitiness. It has a modest level of lingering burnt malts. Nice full flavor sessionably thin body brew. Yum!
