Bottle courtesy of rlgk. Pours hazy reddish golden with no head and some long nice looking legs. Smell is sweet and slightly fruity with honey, caramelized almonds, charred wood, vanilla hard candy, chocolate covered cherries, bourbon, bounty bars and alcohol. Taste is sweet, sour and fruity with honey, cherries, charred wood, vanilla, hay, alcohol and hints of milk chocolate. Mouthfeel is slightly sticky sweet, slightly fruity tart boozy and medium bodied. finish is slightly sweet and fruity with honey, cherries, charred wood, toasted coconut, hay and alcohol. Smells great currently too hot in the taste...

Bottle at RBWG, thanks! Pours a clear rose with no head whatsoever. Aroma has a bit of musty honey that is backed by a manhattan note. Flavor has more earthy honey with a bit of light fruit and barrel.

RBWG14 Trip Rating #31. Bottle shared by jackl at the Friday Night Downtown Inn Bottle Share. Pours clear pink-red with weak legs. Aroma of honey, citrus, berries, earth, wood, bourbon in the finish. The taste is honey, citrus, grapes, wood, bourbon. Medium bodied, very hot. Well done.

Bottle @ RBWG Fart Share. Pours a dark ruby appearance with no head. Strawberry / berry / honey / apple aroma. Goopy mouth feel. Slightly tart. Cinnamon. Good.

6.3 oz. bottle, pours a clear ruby red - no head. Aroma of lush treacly honey, light bourbon, moderate cherry presence and mild booze. Flavour brings out thick treacly honey, moderate presence of the bourbon barrels, and well-worked in booze. The cherries aren't really detectable, perhaps because of thick syrupy honey presence and bourbon barrels. Excellent stuff - one of the best meads I've had.

Bottle thanks to FlandersNed. Pours cherry red. Nose/taste of vanilla, tart cherry, bourbon barrel, honey and fruit. Finishes sweet fresh cherries with some bourbon barrel. Medium body.

Little bottle pours clear rosy copper with some legginess along the inside of the glass. The aroma offers up smooth sweetness, some boozy heat, berry fruitiness and then a mild level of chili pepper meat. The taste is similar with sweet honey goodness followed by rich berry notes and then a touch of chili pepper meat. This is good stuff as it is smooth and yummy and rolling from honey sweetness to berry richness to a bit of chili pepper. Great ride.

First and foremost, hopscotch you are the MAN... Bottle. Poured a pinkish/red color. The nose is dominated by maraschino cherries with just a fluttering of honey. This is one dangerous bastard. So smooth and refreshing with sweet honey, bourbon, and maraschino cherry flavors. Outstanding........

bouteille partagée avec Greg. profond rouge, plein de cerise et de miel, fleurs sauvages, aspect de noyau de cerise prononcé, cerise un peu plus agressive du style de jus de cerise concentré, moins douce dans le style mais qui se marie bien avec cet hydromel. Reste un aspect aigre de cerise qui est à noter.
