750ml bottle pours a hazy, burnt orange with a very active, frothy white head. Nose of candy sugar, white pepper. Flavor is banana, candy sugar, lemon rind, oranges. Might have the most carbonation of any bottled beer I’ve ever had which makes it a chore to drink. The finish is full bodied. All that carb ruins it a little.

Pours slightly hazy dark golde color with huge white head. Aromas of brett and floral hops. Reminds me somewhat of Orval. Flavors is slightly doughy and grassy with some brett tartness. Medium body with lively carbonation and a dry mouthfeel. A very nice Belgian style ale.

Bottled shared at the RBSG Grand Tasting. Pours a hazy peach color with a huge head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma is yeasty and lightly funky, leafy hops and a tartness reminiscent of mustard. The taste is big citrusy hops, tart slightly funky notes and again the mustard. Medium bodied. Good beer.

Thanks to gn0sis for this one. The bottle looks simple, but really good, the beer in the glass very zippy, huge head. Starts intense hoppy, not too scratchy-woody, fruity like lemon. Then more and more dry-floury, a bit grasy. A bit too dry I think, so not very drinkable. But still a good IPA.

Thanks to puzzl. I rather liked this one. Some funky notes in the aroma, along with citrus and light malt. I could see not liking the funk, but that’s not me. Nice dry flavor. Good brett character but doesn’t quite work perfectly with the hops. Hops provide nice bitterness. Some unexpected malt sweetness upfront. Would love to try this beer with a bit more age, just to see where the brett takes it.

Bottle @ Miami Fandango ’10 gathering. pours golden, white head. Aroma and flavors, starts of with a note of caramel malts along with a mix of Belgian yeast similar to many other Trappists. Use of the IPA style adds a more citrus/spicy characteristic to the overall mouthfeel. Finishes with a lingering hoppy profile adding a bitter citrus finish to the style.

BCTC 09. This was the first beer I rated at the fest. This goes in the hoppy and bretty direction and I don’t like that much. The mix makes a musky, grassy, overly herbal beer. Its cool enough for the experience but its getting lame. 7/3/7/3/14

So, this is completely different in the bottle after all this time. A beautiful brett centered beer with the hops no longer playing a role. I can’t even believe its the same beer as the keg. Beautiful Brett B all over, no off-aspects, beautiful head and sparkling body. Nicely tart and wild at the end as well. Awesome stuff, this will be the rating that counts. That keg was definitely too young. 8/4/84/16
