Bottle. Orange, ginger, caramel malt, and hay aroma. Dark amber with large tan head. Moderately sweet orange caramel malt and moderately bitter metallic/quinine and grapefruit peel flavor. Good body. Okay but a bit harsh.

Pours deep, almost clear copper/chestnut with a thick, light tan head. Light nutmeg, cinnamon, red cedar aroma. Taste is caramel malt, holiday spices.....ginger. ....it’s OK, but has a chalky, medicinal feel to it. Sort of a dusty bitter. So-so.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating, but it is from 2011. Pours hazy brick red color with a nice 2 finger dense khaki head with incredible retention that reduces to a thick cap that lasts. Spotty lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of big ginger, cinnamon, caramel, nutmeg, honey, citrus, biscuit, and molasses. Fairly nice aromas with decent strength. Taste of big caramel, cinnamon, brown sugar, allspice, ginger, honey, light fruitiness, and herbal spice. Good amount of spices linger on the finish; with caramel, light fruits, cinnamon, ginger, and honey for a bit. Nice balance of flavor and spices here; turns out to be very smooth and drinkable, without being cloying. Alcohol is very well hidden for 8%, with only a slight warming after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a slightly creamy and smooth mouthfeel. Overall this is a very nice winter warmer. Plenty of spice character, yet still has nice malt balance.

Fruits, light spice, lightly roasted malts in the aroma. Deep reddish brown color. Flavor has a nice amount of spices but they are restrained to a point that makes it a very drinkable beer. Light cinnamon, some nutmeg, molasses, lightly toasted malts, and fruity. Really nice winter beer.

Courtesy of markwise. Pours deep dark amber with thin off white head. The aroma is a bit spicy with cinnamon and winter spices to go along with graham cracker, some caramel and breadiness. The taste has lots of winter spices (mostly cinnamon) followed by sweet malts and a thin layer of malt roastiness. This is a decent enough mild winter brew but not really equipped to deal with a real winter.

Flavors, got a lot of nice winter spices, cinnamon, some caramel/toffee, chocolate. Lingering roasted malts, good balance with a mild caramel finish.

Bottle from a trade with phaleslu. Pours dark reddish brown with tan head. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, bananas and some other spices. Lots of brown sugar and and caramel flavors with some spices. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Thanks Peter.

On draught at the Dilly Deli. The beer pours a murky dark amber-brown color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Spicy aroma of ginger with mild hops and malt behind it. Medium-bodied with a sweet spiced character of ginger and nutmeg. Lightly bitter hops and sweet malt are present as well. The finish is moderately spicy and leaves a sweet fruity aftertaste. Pretty good all around.
