Bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of beige head that lingers. Dark chocolate on the nose with whole grain and peanut butter aromas as it warms. Palate is very similar with peanut butter and dark chocolate really standing out. Drying finish with a lingering dark chocolate and peanut butter aroma. Dry overall and not overly sweet.

12oz bottle. 6.3% Imperial Stout? Has to be the lowest ABV for an impy ever. So starting off, lets just consider it an Oatmeal Stout. Sweet, a little thick, homebrew feel, not well attenuated. Not overboard with the peanut. Remains pretty drinkable. Could pass for a Peanut Porter. OK.

The Aromas are peanuts, cocoa and dark malt. Flavors are similar to nose, sweet, mild peanut flavor. Slightly thin body and aggressive carbonation. Not a lot of character. Okay and drinkable.

Pours black with a small tan head. It has a peanut rich aroma with roast malt. The flavor is similar with peanuts and roast malt along with some chocolate. The chocolate malt character comes out more as it warms, becoming the more dominant flavor instead of the peanuts. Very good.

Peanut butter, chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Black with large brown head. Moderately sweet peanut butter, chocolate malt, and moderately bitter/astringent dry hay flavor. Good body. Nice.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 12/13/2018. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky tan head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big peanut butter, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, roasted nuts, toasted oats, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of toffee, molasses, dark fruit, smoke, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of PB, dark/roast/bready malts, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big peanut butter, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, roasted nuts, toasted oats, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of toffee, molasses, dark fruit, smoke, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Very mild herbal/floral/grassy hop, and roasted bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of peanut butter, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, roasted nuts, toasted oats, dark/brown bread, light smoke/dark fruit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish fora while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of PB, dark/roast/bready malts, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with a great roast/hop bitter/sweet balance, and no cloying/acrid flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/roast bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.3%. Overall this is an excellent flavored oatmeal stout. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of PB, dark/roast/bready malts, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Pretty much perfectly balanced between PB and nicely rich malt complexity; with restrained fruity yeast and mild earthy hops against sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on English style example. Not overwhelming on any aspect.

Didn’t realize this hadn’t been around in years. Pretty good, a bit burnt - heavy on the black maybe?

Opaque black beer, small tan head. Nose of unshelled peanuts! Light dry palate, crispy. Mild dark malts with unsweet peanut and mild minerals. Interesting contrast between the Porter like tangy dark malt and the earth peanut. Slightly weird - but tasty!

Bottled. A pitch black a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, malt, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of peanuts, roasted malt, and earth, leading to a dry finish. Not good.
