Bottle. An unusal beer. The coffee aroma and flavor is prominent but not over powering. Was actually balanced well. Color was a pleasant brown color but not black like one might expect with a coffee beer. Quite impressed. Would recommend.

22 oz. bottle from a trade with a buddy on BA. Want to guess the color? Nose is light coffee bean. Flavor is lightly sweet. Taste is old coffee grounds, Earthy hops and caramel syrup. Lighter notes of toffee and light bread malt. It reminds me of a caramel iced coffee. Carbonation gives this light creamy texture. I thought this was unusual when I read the description and it is. And that’s what I really like about it. If you like coffee brews give this a try. I think you need to have an open mind if you do grab a bottle and expecting lighter coffee and not deep notes.

Pour is an ice tea lookalike with no head at all. Aroma is deffinalty a rich coffee and not much else. Flavor is dirty malts with undercooked vegatables and nothing after that. Almost no coffee in the flavor. This went from ok to poor real fast. I have never seen a coofee amber ale and I don’t think an amber malt base works with coffee.

On tap at the brewery. Pours with a clear bronze body and an off-white head. Aromas are spicy, roasty, coffee, chocolate and malty. Flavors are spicy, earthy, roasty, coffee and grainy. Odd beer. I have had light colored coffee beers before, but they generally have a bit more character than this. Medium bodied. Really bland to be honest. Nothing wrong though.
