Roast and bourbon. Booze. Dark chocolate. Black pour with ok head and lacing. Super boozy finish, bitter and sweet. It's a nice break from the sours in the brewery but shit, dark beers aren't their strong point. #guesttaps

Tap (2017 / 10%) @ Cascade Barrelhouse, Portland. Pours dark, almost black, small tan head. Aroma is rich, sweet vanilla, chocolate, dark malt. Taste is smooth, balanced, rich with excellent depth of flavour, good representation of vanilla, bourbon, oak, coffee and dark chocolate with some vinous hints. Very good.

Draft at Barrel House. Dark, inky black, soft bubbly beige head. Boozy aroma , roast grains and chocolate underneath. Taste is also boozy, with warmth right from the start. Silky smooth, but burns all the way down. A real winter treat.
