Bottle from Albertsons. Hazy golden pour with thick foamy head. Smells like a wheat ale, fruit far in the background. Taste brings the fruit forward, but still fairly mild, with lots of the wheat base coming through. Gentle fruity finish.

Draft at the Marin brewing company larkspur. Light hazed pale yellow coloured pour with a lasting fine white head. Aroma is blueberry flavouring, some what artificial but pleasent enough, blueberry pop tart. Flavour is pale grains, grains, husks, blueberry flavoring, crisp grains, tart fruit. Palate is light crisp and refreshing. OK

Bomber pours slightly hazy gold with off white head. The meek aroma emits a bit of sugary malt, a faint “nothing note” making you think there’s something actually there and then followed b y a faint sense of blueberry Kool-Aid. The taste has a prickly high carbonation feel and delivers sugar sweet malts mixing with sweet blueberry Kool-Aid and then moving into faint vague hoppiness, some breadiness and then more blueberry. Someday someone will make one of these with a bit more beer in the beer.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a somewhat hazy gold color with a thin white head that burns away quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Fruity, malty aroma. Light body with flavors of blueberries and sweet malt. The finish is mildly tart and fruity with a lingering sweetness left over. Average overall.

On tap. Pours with a hazy golden body (no evidence of berry from the color) with a fading head. Aroma is blueberry muffin. No more descriptors needed on that one. Flavor is artificial blueberry, lots of sweetness, wheat, grainy, blah. Berry and fake can be used to sum this one up. High carbonation. Thin and boring.

17th December 2008. Brewed with ’natural flavour’ Hmmm! Hazy gold beer, frothy head which settles quickly. Starts well with a crisp bite and even a little vague blueberry taste. But the beer is watery and has a grim saccharine sort of dryness. Bleh!

courtesy of pretzelcity. pours clear golden, white head. Aroma is loaded with blueberries, followed by some citrus. Flavor, blueberries, grainy. Overall palate is not bad and far from other beers that try to use blueberries. The beer keeps the distinct blueberry profile that usually give sit a distinct mouthfeel. Just not a big fan of the flavored side, try using real fruits.

Bottle 65 cl. Slightly hazy yellow with a white head. Distinct blueberry aroma. Medium body with very sweet and intense - and somewhat perfumy - blueberry notes. No bitterness in the finish, but perhaps a whiff of sulphur. But fresh alright. 100709
