12oz bottle-pours a tight foamy light tan head and dark amber color. Aroma is medium malt-caramel, rye, secondary pine hops. Taste is medium malt-caramel, rye, secondary pine/herbal hops. IPA meets special bitter. OK carbonation.

On tap at OTH. Pours deep copper with off white head and nice full on sheet lacing. The aroma is roasty with a dash of caramel to go along with mild grapefruit hops to faint pine. The taste is roasty with a touch of malt astringency and then a twang of rye. Then I get modest levels of grapefruit hops, tangelo and faint bitter hop resin joining in and taking it to closure. Seems like a solid Amber Ale.

Tap at OTH. Pours copper lightly hazy with a thin white head. Aroma was simply hoppy with some fruits. Taste, malty, hops, thick mouthfeel with notes of citrus fruits. Some spices and a light bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours a coppery brown with a large foamy head. Aromas are weak, especially for anything that calls itself and IPA. A bit of bread and rye with a touch of very understated citrus hops. Flavor is kind of a mess, too. If this didn’t classify as an IPA I probably wouldn’t have a problem with it, but man... while there are some definite hops there, they do not ever take over or even assert themselves strongly. As is, it sits in no man’s land as a rye beer with a bit of citrus hops. Woo hoo!
