Pour is deffinalty a dark red with a small white head. Aroma is pine hops with a strong dose of tosted malts. Flavor is lots of brown sugar and caramel malts with an oily hop backbone. A very tasty and thick beer with almost no noticeable alcohol. Pricy for a six but if you see this being sold as singles I advise you pick up a few.

12 oz bottle; nose of piney and floral hopswith some caramel; clear rusty brown with a small tan head; flavor of hop bitterness, caramel and some fruitiness. Decent strong ale!

Bottle courtesy of Beernadblues2: Poured a deep red/brown color ale with a quite large foamy head with adequate retention. Aroma of medium citrus hops with some weak caramel malt. Taste consists of semi-sweet caramel malt with some medium citrus and bitter hops. Body is about average with some medium carbonation and no sign of alcohol. Overall, I thought this was a light version of an American strong ale and definitely lacking on character to make it truly worthwhile.
