Draught courtesy of the brewer at the brewery on January 21, 2011Slight bit hazy copper color, orange head. Sweet, hoppy, citrus, mango, fruity scent. Sweet, malty, alcohol, bitter taste. Some apple aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

Dark gold-amber. Breadcrusty nose with light caramel. Caramel on the palate as well with light toffee, breadcrust and a pleasing insistent peat note. Good body. Hint of dryness late.

on tap-pours a light tan head that laces and copper color. Aroma is mild medium malt. Taste is rich medium malt-caramel/slight toffee, peat, secondary earthy hops, balances nicely. Fill side of medium body.

Drat at TBBC. Abt according to Dave at 6.5%+ Pours copper-brown with thick tan head. Aroma of light malts. Taste, malty, brown sugar, caramel. Light hops leaving a nice smooth mouthfeel. Molasses and light spices. A little on the weak side for a scotch ale.

Pours deep deep copper, nearly amber with thin white head. The aroma is rather wort like before the hops are added. But overall its very light. The flavor is sweet roasted malts, faint hint of biscuit and the lightest bitter hop presence around the edges. There may also be a slight smoky flavor to it.
