Because _of_course_ when you get your hands on exotic yeast strains steeped in tradition you make a hazy IIPA. Can. Looks like a bucket of sand with a 1/2cm white head. 3- Bright aroma with oranges and lemon, plasticy funk (like juice in a bottle left in the sun), medicinal herbal notes that nudge up on antiseptic. Quite light bodied with a somewhat bitty texture. Moderate to low carbonation. Very juicy with oranges and under-ripe tropical fruit, a menthol and lime leaf tartness, moderate bitterness. Tasty but a bit disjointed.

Pour is a murky gold with a large white head. Aroma is crackery wheat malt, a little grapefruit hop and a bit of alcohol. Flavor is more of the same with a chewy wheat malt and some bitter hops. The odd thing about this was in the finish. A noticeable sourness was felt. I don't think that was supposed to be there. Not one of this brewers finest efforts

16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but was just released. Pours very hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy bitterness; peppery yeast spiciness; and light wheat tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and minimal lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8.5%. Overall this is an excellent DIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and wheat malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV with the moderately bitter/spicy/resinous/drying finish, not too overly aggressive. Nice Citra, Loral, and Mosaic profile. Very juicy/dank/earthy hops and balanced Kviek farmhouse yeast; with a 100% wheat malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness from lingering dryness. A very enjoyable, and pretty unique style example. Not sure why they don't just label it as a Belgian IPA. There are plenty of breweries using the yeast strain in NEIPAs as well.
