Belgian-style pale ale

Inspired by the fresh, sessionable beers on the Belgian dinner table, we’re bringing back a 2015 favorite. This hoppy Belgian-style pale ale is bright and flavorful with an assertive hop character. Jardinier is French for gardener, and this beer is a veritable garden of flavor— perfect for any occasion, casual or ornate.

Bottle - Sweet, light citrus and some flowery notes. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Light pale malts and a touch of citrus. Smells much better than it tastes.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden with a large foamy white head. Aroma is complex, with loads of Belgian yeast and farmhouse notes. Flavour is very dry, with farmhouse yeast and astringent biscuity malt. Quite bitter on the finish. Very dry and well-balanced. Very good.

At Maakun’s, Maakun opens a big bottle! Straw blonde with white head. It’s a spice cabinet party! From oregano to cinnamon, lime peel, flowery hops, doughy yeasties. Taste is mild bitter with light acidic notes on a light sweet backbone. Body is medium, dry, carbonation is fizzy. Nice stuff!

Bottle shared at home. Clear light golden with white head. Light peppery, grassy, dried flowers, light dusty and mineral, dry white bread, cloves, light sweet malts, biscuits. Quite some light spicy yeast with herbal and flowery notes, but never overpowering the malts. Light sweet and bitter. Under medium bodied with a bit fizzy carbonation. Quite nice.

The Beer Store, Southampton bottle: pours golden with a massive fluffy and white head. Aroma is flowers, spice, and yeast. Taste is very floral with that subdued Belgian ale bitterness. Nice aftertaste. Very slight sweetness. Simple easy to drink. Very bright and bubbly.
