(Can) Pours black with small tan head. Nice aroma - coffee, chocolate, toffee. Nice smooth palate - medium body with nice bright fine carbonation. Great taste - some nice fruit and toffee sweetness in the start, then becomes much drier with coffee, burnt sugar, alcohol coming in. Great beer.

Can. Black with a modest tan head. Intriguing aroma of roast, mocha, berries, cream. Silky texture. Quite roasty with lots of coffee, berries and feisty grassy bitterness. Has that translucent palate you associate with good bottom fermented beers. Interesting and good.

From can, cellared for almost a month (I have patience issues). Rum and vanilla nose. Dark brown in colour. Thin in mouth and slightly oily. Some bitterness, but overall it's at the sweet end, without a desert feel. Not super interesting.

375ml can into pint glass. Pours a very dark red/brown with a foamy cream-coloured head. Nose is fruit, cocoa, and distant coffee. Full body, smooth texture. Some patchy lacing. Surprisingly easy to drink at 7%. A bit of sweet fruit, some bitter coffee notes and a hint of chocolate to finish. Nothing spectacular but a nice solid stout.
