Draught @ CBC2015. Pours tiny hazy golden with a small frothy offwhite head that leaves a small trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is fruity with crackers, white bread, grapefruit juice, moist grass, pine needles, elderflowers and lemon zest. Taste is sweet, bitter, tiny malty and slightly fruity. Mouthfeel is round, astringent and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with crackers, white bread, caramel, grapefruit juice, moist grass, pine needles and lemon zest. Decent… All the right components are there but the balance is off.

Draft - Fresh bright grapefruit. Clear gold with a decent white head. Bitterness upfront, pithy and grapefruit. Bright, bold and easy drinking.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Hazy light amber color with compact head. It just tastes and smells like the Volta strong saison, and with the bartender we checked both taps. It’s nowhere near a Lager.
Did they mislabeled the keg?

Draught, Rogue Broadway
Golden, thin head, mellow citra, orange and clean pale malt aroma. Moderate bitterness, citra, and again a nice pale malt finish. Good, nouveau pils.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a clear pale dull golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out floral and piney hops, very pleasant on the nose. Flavour reveals notes of floral hops, kind of soapy, with a dry thin malt backing. Can't really tell this is a lager. Not overly complex, but decently made and drinkable. Not bad.

Bomber from Belmont Station. Pours pale gold with a slight white head.Light floral hop aroma. Med body. Flavor has pale malt, but on the good side there’s a lot of floral and grass. This is so close to a good pils, but I’m wondering whether the malt bill was selected for that. Good, but I’m sure it just needs a small tweak to be great.
