Drink as sexy as possible!

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een donkerbruin bier met een dun schuim. Het heeft een moutige wat fruitige geur. De smaak is moutig, rozijnen en koffie achtig.

Thuis uit een flesje. Donkerbruin, bijna zwart, beige schuim, verdwijnt snel. Aroma beetje zuur, niet al te goed, smaak ook zeker niet te zoet voor een bock. Aardig. Leuke gevonden naam overigens.

BAF 2018. Thank you for sharing! Sampled draft. Very dark brown, creamy tanned head. Nose is cough syrup, dash plastic, nicely low bitter but largely sweet. Taste is sweet cough syrup, some bay, leaf, sugar, almost mocha,… All sweet, too sweet but not for intended market prob. Fair.

Extra dark Dutch Doppelbock, tasted from tap at Foeders in Amsterdam. Tightly cobweb-lacing, pale greyish beige, moussy head, very dark chestnut brown colour with mahogany hue - almost blackish in general appearance. Aroma of strong grave and beef stock, bayleaf, toffee, moist black pipe tobacco, stewed mushrooms, black olives, pink grapefruit flesh, tea. Fruity onset, sweet, yellow raisins, dates even, with a light sourish hint; softish carbo, full and creamy mouthfeel. Hazelnutty and butterscotch-like 'brown' and sweet malt body with toasty bitterish hints; ends with a lasting caramel malty impression but also spicy, even grapefruity hop bitterness and warming, rum-like alcohol. Malty, but with a 'new' hoppy character elegantly applied to it; darker and fuller than is traditional for the style too, resulting in something which approaches an imperial porter. Whatever the case, a very pleasant, rich beer indeed.

Bottle @ home. Dark brown to black colour with a medium sized beige to light brown head. Smells sweet, malty, raisins, some roastyness. Tastes roasty, coffee, chocolate, sweet, malty. It's very close to a stout imo. Medium body, soft carbo. Nice.

Dark red/brown with almost no head. Aroma is nut peel, hot chocolate, milk chocolate, not so many dried fruits, also soy sauce. Taste is some oil, roasted malt quite bitter and not very sweet. Oily not so balanced. Not bad though.
