Sample @ Porterfestivalen in Gothenburg on November 19. Pours pale reddish brown with a brown head. Smell is peat, wood and whiskey. Taste is rather light with roasted malts, burnt wood, whiskey and a subtle acidity.

Draught@SBWF2011. Pitch black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is Islay peat, some ashes, caramel and quite roasted notes. Flavour is peated malts, some smoked wet wood, caramel, roasted malts as well as some slight ashyness. Been in the Islay barrels for just about the right amount of time!

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Near black, small head. Heavy peaty smoke aroma. Dryish with light-medium body and clean mouthfeel. Tarry whisky and licorice. Low bitterness.

Bottle at SBWF, October 6, 2011. Almost black with a small tan head. Quite a lot of Islay whisky character in this one. Nice mouth feel with a long, dry and pleasant aftertaste.

(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 30 Sep 2011) Black colour with brief, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of smoke, oak wood, vanilla, chocolate and hints of Islay whisky. Malty, oaky taste with Islay whisky, vanilla, smoke and a dry finish with chocolate and a gentle coffee bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Well balanced and tasty. Nice.
