Bottle shared by Fonefan at his place. Clear golden color, no head. Smell and taste lightly sweet, honey, apple, winey. Very balanced, slick and very smooth. Nice one.

A golden drink without head. The nose is sweet, grapes, alcohol, some honey, apples and raisins. Taste is very sweet, honey, some warmong alcohol, that is not actually taste, portwine, raisins. Full bodied, no carbonation, not sticky, easy to drink. Interesting drink, as cold a quite nice, a sweet dessert.

Pours clear yellowish golden with a bubbly head. Aroma of dry fruits, honey, yeast and malts. Taste is sweet, juicy and malty with notes of honey and dry fruits. Finish is sweet and juicy with lots of honey and fruits. Okay mead.

Aroma has sweet honey, some gluey notes, herbs and root beer. Flavour has root beer, some honey, apples and gluey notes. Also a feeling of porto. Finishes with distant herbal notes. Not as rich or warming like the stronger (~16%) meads I’ve had. Feels actually quite thin and straightforward for this ABV. Decent.

Bottle 750ml. corked.Clear medium yellow colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy honey, wood, spicy honey, butterscotch, perfume - perfume notes, light alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, honey, spicy honey, sharp, quit dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20121109]

Bottle @ "Det er meget mørkt i Ulfborg", November 2012. Pours clear golden with bubbles on top. Sweet nose. Hazelnuts and honey. Vinous and delicious. Not overly complex but tasty.

Bottle, 75cl. A clear, golden mead, with a lots of flowers in the aroma. Honey and dark sugar. For a mead it’s quite thin, still lightly oily, and with a little bit of warmth. Perfumed, flowery flavor with honey. As the aroma, it’s quite weak. Quite dry in the finish, making it rather drinkable, but I certainly prefer my meads more full-bodied, sweeter and stronger. Anyway, it’s certainly not a bad one, it’s just a bit thin and weak compared to what I prefer. 121109
