Panda from Colin. Danke. Opaque amber. Foamy white head. Aroma is sweet and fruity with a vinous edge. Dank basement elements. Flavourwise it has sweet fruit but the vinous and citrus sourness are just as prominent. Some candy sugar in there. Underlying malts. Medium bodied. Slick to oily. Soft carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. I like. Hits the spot.

Bottle at home, from HOTM online, 26/10/2025.
Murky orange topped with a lasting just off white head.
Nose is tarte citric shreds, brett well evident, damp straw, funk, barnyard, yeast flicker.
Taste comprises lemon rind, herb, citric tinged straw, grass, lighter brett than the nose suggested.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with earthy hop bitterness and a balanced bretted edge.
Tidy.

Bottle from House Of Trembling Madness. Hazy golden body with a few chunks floating beneath a white head. No visible carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, lime peel and funky yeast. Flavour of brett yeast, lightly roasted malt, and lemon. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. This is delicious and very similar to Orval.

Bottle at the beer bistro. Hazy yellow pour, with a medium white head. Aroma is exceptional. Loads of tropical fruit, some big yeasty esters. Mouth feel and carb are what you’d expect. The finish reveals so many lovely fruit flavours. Lots of peach, and mango, and fresh cut melon. Some slight funk, finishes slightly tart. Really good stuff.

Aged bottle, few years. Picked up via trade. Highly effervescent. Light sweet flavour with expressive brett, grass, lemon. Super clean. A little pale woody dryness to finish.

Bottle @ home. Slightly unclear golden body under a huge, frothy, white head. Delicate aroma of grain, wood, fruit, funk and a touch of acidity. Taste has sweet malt, distinct brett, wood, hint of citric fruit and balanced bitterness. Balanced body with long lasting, mild funky, pleasant aftertaste. Nicer and tasty.

Quite a nice Bretta beer. Grapefruit and lime. Hazy golden pour with decent head. Bitter and slightly tangy finish. Great beer.
