An excellent interpretation of a creamy oyster stout, with salty roasted malt and nuances of coffee and chocolate. Rounded with a dry finish.

Draft @ ML Fontainas.

On tap @ Borefts 2013. Looking nice in the glass with a really lacing brown head on top of a deep dark brown body. Smells of light grains and a little chocolate I think. Kinda sweet as well. It's mildly oily in the mouth and soft on the carbonation. I like the taste. Really round with a little fruitiness. Not much point in looking for the oysters cause I can't find them anywhere. Ends really drymouthing and almost a bit astringent wit a little bit of coffee. 27.09.2013

330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with average, firm, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Roasty dark malty aroma, malt-spicy in Maggi direction. Taste is dry, roasty dark malty, subtle residual sweetness; smooth palate.

27.09.2013, tap @ Borefts:
Tiny shortlasting head. Aroma is wet grain, puffed rice, roasted coffee, chocolate, hay. Taste is slightly neutral, dark malts, hay, salt, wet grain, hints of chocolate and coffee. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Pretty boring.

Tap at Borefts ’13, 27/09/13. Light black bordering on dark mahogony brown with a thin light tan head that soons dissipates edgeward. Nose is sweet, chocolate, toffee, light roast, vanilla. Taste comprises earthy cocoa, light hop notes, bitter tones, light sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation. Ok stout - not one I’d rush back to though.

Borefts 2013 - Toasty, roasty, sweet aroma. Although the texture is a touch thin and watery it has a full flavour. Roasted malts and light liquorice.
