Buxton - A true, ancient Spa town, stands where the Limestone and Gritstone bedrocks of the White Peak and Dark Peak meet. Pure, delicious mineral water flows constantly out of the ground. For centuries this water source ensured Buxton's prosperity, and is the inspiration for this beer, bringing English malts, Citra hops and the unsung-hero of beer - water together.

Tap at Omnipollos hat, Stockholm. A decent session IPA. Grassy. Quite a cask taste for something that is on keg here. Fresh.

330 ml. bottle. Bottled 26SEP18. Clear pale golden, little head. Nose is harsh white grape peel and wild weeds. Very harsh bitter weeds, white grape skins lacking body or anything fruity, crude harsh straw, pepper, very lingering almost no low mineral body, interesting but too harsh, sort of wonder how this would fare on cask.

Bottle, big bubbly head, a touch hazy deepish gold color, citrusy fruity flavor with a touch of bread, citrus fruity flavor with herbal tea, a mellow piney bitterness and a light lemony fruity sourness. Nice and enjoyable.

Draft at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours classic good, fairly transparent, with medium-grain white foam. Aroma is nice: malty and grainy. Body is average with medium carbonation. Taste is moderately sweet with some balancing bitterness. Finish is average with a little residual bitterness.

Bottle at home in Beer Hawk advent calendar. A nice murky pour with a good and long-lived head. Loads of hops on the nose and even more in the taste. Surely you can't call this a pale ale? its an IPA with those massive hops! Mind you, Buxton do like their hops, so their interpretation of a pale ale is probably going to be full of them and somewhat shouty. Whatever. This is a very good beer.

Rocky white head stayed on a translucent, still, light golden body. Hoppy, citrus & bitter aroma. Medium bodied, smooth on the palate but sharp & tingly on the back. Dry. Very bitter tastes, grapefruit, pith, under ripe fruit, citra & bitter citrus.
