Bottle pours with a clear copper body that tosses up some nice legs. The aroma offers up big rich apples, spicy honey, nectar sweet sugars, boozy wax and then a funky earthy oddness in the background. The taste delivers firm rich sweet nectar like apple flowing into a waxy note. It picks up earthy funky fruity gravel to midway and into the finish. Interesting.

bottle from beergium. aroma of honey, booze, wood and... wax?? bit strange. dry aroma. flavor is honey, faint fruits, quite high on bitterness, i think i get wood in the flavor. also some pear. fairly sweet, but far from as sweet as a plain mead is, bitterness is a little bit too much, but the fruits and bitterness in total do a great balance to the top notch honey flavor in there. very smooth base, both flavor and palate. The bitterness almost resembles the kind of bitterness you find in red wine.
