Aroma of malt, caramel, tropical fruits, peach, orange, resin, strong hops. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a lovely bitter finish. Sweetish but lovely Double IPA, excellent entry into the series. Keep on brewing ’em boys!

Bottle. Amber color. Grassy oily hops, licorice and tropical fruit in the aroma. Malty yet dry, peppery alcoholic flavor with licorice and tropical fruit. Powerful DIPA.

Bottle at home, bought last week in Groningen. This should probably be ’retired’. Anyway, the hop is pretty dead in this one, bottle says "Best before 2015/A". Deep orange, almost clear, big yellowish beige head. Sweet toasted malts, hop ghosts (R.I.P.), oranges, licorice, caramel, sugar, alcohol. Big sweet, medium bitter. Full body, low carbonation. Heavy, oily, greasy and sweet, with a cheesy yeasty and biter finish. Well it is well over a year past its ’best before’ date, so I shall not bitch. Let’s just keep it at ’this is well past its prime’.

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, reddish golden colour with huge, frothy, osteoporosing, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of red berries, some orange and mandarine, caramel malty background. Taste is bitter hoppy, caramel malty basis with an almond touch, fruity notes of red berries, bitter zesty hints of orange and mandarine; lasting bitter finish, full body, prickling carbonation.

Bottle, kept way too long (bbe Q4 2015, enjoyed April 2016...). Nice copper/amber color, slightly hazy. Dense off white head with good retention. Aroma’s: somewhat malty sweet, light fruity, light herbal hops. Retronasal it’s hopbitter, malty, honey-ish, light herbal, light resin. Flavor is moderate bitter with a malty sweet backbone. Medium bodied. Finish is quite bitter. Should try this fresh sometime (if it’s still being brewed) but still very enjoyable.

0.33 l bottle from biernavigatie, best before end of 2015. Clear, orangeish amber with a huge, very creamy, stable, off-white head. Sweetish, fruity-resiny aroma of mango, orange, tangerine, honey and pine. Sweetish, fruity-resiny taste of mango, orange, tangerine, honey and pine, followed by a long, medium bitter finish. Medium to full body, very creamy and juicy mouthfeel, average carbonation. First of all, this beer look absolutely beautiful with this fine-pored, creamy and perfect head. The smell is what you’d expect from a DIPA (not really overwhelming though), but the taste is quite unique with that sweet and particularly juicy fruitiness. The balanced hoppy finish rounds it up perfectly. Very good!

Bottle @ home. Clear golden orange colour with a medium sized off-white head. Smells hops, slightly playdough, malts. Tastes hoppy, malts, slight spicy, slightly alcohol. Pretty nice beer. Somehow it feels warming to the chest. Medium to full body, soft to medium carbo.
