Golden. Aroma is light with floral honey and a gentle fruity hop character. Nice, easy-drinking balanced golden ale.

Floral hop aroma. Citrus and hop in the flavour with a nice dry finish. A perfect session ale.

Cask at New Britannia, Preston. Pours clear yellow gold with a thick white head. Aromas of bready malt and light lemon hops. Lemony notes continue whilst drinking, alongside hay. Decent bitterness, but ultimately a bit thin.

Small offwhite head. Clear yellow body. Light honey and spice aroma with wooden notes. Dryish honey and flowers taste with mealy fruity notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, flat mouthfeel, with that thick, grainy, viscousness that honey has. Weird. Dryish floral fruity honey aftertaste with spicy notes. Nice, drinkable, surprisingly honeyish. (0.284l cask at Knott Bar, Manchester.)

Three hand-pulled pints for Sunday lunch on 18 Nov 2012 @ The Wrekin Inn, Wellington, Shropshire. Completely different drink to the bottled version: this is miles better. Pours the pale golden colour you’d expect with a good head that stays. Great blend of flavours give the beer a slightly maltier feel than hoppy, although there is a dry bitter finish from the hops that takes over two thirds of the way through each gulp. Very, very easy to drink (hence my three pints) and leaning towards sweet; it suits my taste buds nicely. Good body depth and I can now understand how it got to win its various awards.

Clear yellow to blond beer, small creamy white head, pretty stable, adhesive leaving a nice lacing. Aroma: some exotic fruits, pineapple and passion fruits, bit yeasty, hay. MF: no carbon, medium to full body. Taste: little fruity in the start, peaches, citrus, bit grassy, hoppy bitterness. Aftertaste: yeasty, barnyard notes, somewhat fruity, dry bitter ending. Not bad, the American hops are giving it some character.

Slightly hazy golden straw with white head. Nice floral aroma. Light body, medium carbonation. Good malty taste for light beer and decent hop bitterness in finish. Overall a nice refreshing beer.
