A tribute to Loch Fyne's famous fictional ship, Vital Spark fuses two worlds; a traditional rich, dark malt base charged with new world Amarillo and Cascade hops. Rich, dark caramel malt flavours lifted by notes of hedgerow fruits and a short, refreshing finish.

Tight tan head stayed on a dark mahogany coloured still body. Bitter, roasted & malt aroma. Malt, nutty, roasted & berry tastes with tangy pithy finish.

Aus der Flasche im 2014-04 getrunken. Dieses braune Ale hat neben seiner moderaten Hopfenbitterkeit kaum Malzaromen. Das ist einfacher Durstlöscher aber am Ende ist es mir dann doch einfach zu langweilig.

RB backlog, thanks @lazypyro. Berries, light coffee, dark chocolate. Light sweetness, a bit toasty, light bitterness. Light body with fitting natural carbonation.

500ml bottle from Lidl. Dark brown with a thick off white head. Sweet malty aroma, flavour is rich malt, with some liquorice

Cask at craft beer co. Dark clear brown light brown head.very mild aroma, very nice flavor of roasted malts and licorice and faint charred wood.

Cask at the Star and Garter, Bromley. Chestnut brown pour with a beige head. Nose of orchard fruit, nuts, toffee. Lots more of the same in the flavour. Nice, easy going brew.

Cask at the brewery, smallish creamy head, clear dark brown colour, aroma of dark bread, light aromatic coffee and cocoa, flavour of sweet dark chocolate with some charcoal and yeast and a hint of cake malt and vanila, light bitterness. Mellow and really enjoyable.

Cask @ Smithfield Market Tavern, Manchester. Clear brown with a small head. Has a rich tasting bitterness.
