Borefts Beer Festival 5. Day 1. Pretty much a clear gold beer with a small white head. Light palate, dry. Fine carbonation. Light floral character, mildly bitter. Touch of bitter yellow grapefruit. More citric bitterness and a touch of brett. Dry finish. Pretty tasty.

On tap @ the Black Cat. Appearance - one of the darker shades of golden, nice creamy lacing. Nose - tangy lemon, some bready notes in the background. Taste - like a fresher version of lemon curd on toast. Very tangy. Palate - medium bodied, good texture with a very bitter, tangy finish. Overall - just slightly too bitter to want to drink a second but good brew all the same.

Tap @ Borefts β13. Slightly hazy yellow colour with a small white head. Smells a bit yeasty, malts, herbs and spices and reminded me of the smell of marijuana. Tastes marijuana, grassy, herbs, hoppy and bitter. Body is quite thin and the beer hasnβt got a lot of carbo. I prefer this one over the Belgian version.
