Golden Doesjel is a blend of one- to at least 25% four-year old lambikken. Typical for these beers is that the yeast has ”dozed in” (“ingedoesjeld”) and the expected fermentation in the bottle did not continue.
This beer has no head or carbonation, just like lambik, so don’t panic.

Hazy golden orange with a small short lived off white head. Aroma of cellar funk, oak, caramel notes and apple. Flavour is moderate sweet and sour. Medium bodied with pretty much flat carbonation.

Bottle. Pours amber. Aroma and flavor are sour, bitter, some sweetness, acidity, funk, oak. Finish has some acidity and dryness.Overall:good

RERATE 06.04.2019. 0,375l bottle at home. Bottled 02.05.2013. BB 05/2023. orange lightly hazy color, no head. smells cheesy, wood, funky, spices. very nice smell. full body, no carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes cheesy, wood, funk, spices, peppery, nice funk. finishes dry and lightly sour with notes of cheese, wood and some funk. very good complexity. very nice to drink. good stuff. 8, 4, 8, 4, 16

Rerate 03.09.2021: Taster from 0,375l bottle at Lambic O Droom. amber hazy color small white head. smells funky, cheesy, grassy, oak, peppery.. lovly. medium body, very subtle carbonation. tastes funky, cheesy, oak, grassy, peppery. finishes lightly dry and lightly sour with notes of oak, cheesy and sbutle funk. very very nice one, super smooth to drink.
