Bottle @ Fermentoren, Aarhus, 11%. Clear dark amber with medium beige head. Aroma is malt, yeast, oak, wood, sour fruit and brett. Flavour is malt, caramel, yeast, wood, oak, brett, dry, sweet, warming, alcohol and medium bitter.

Bottle from Beergium. Pours hazy amber with massive white head that disappears quickly. Malty aroma with some spices, citrus and yeast. Lightly boozy and malty taste with caramel, spices and some red berries. Lightly bitter, long finish.

Thank you! Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2015. After nearly 80 Alvinne beers, I finally get around to trying this one. Deep amber, tanned head. Nose is carries odd sweet vinous qualities, lightly sour but with lots of candy, very sweet malts, spices, thick yeast. Taste is sweet candy with spoiled yeast, conflicting flavors, spices, candy, thick malts, spices, moldy old fruit,… A bit fizzy. Weird, conflicting but enjoyable. As for the odd vinous qualities I am pointing my finger at Morpheus yeast. I prefer this one as a base beer for Barrel Aging experiments. Still interesting, like a Belgian trying to become a vintage Barley wine of sorts.

Bottle at 100 piv. Quite boozy. Alcohol comes out unpleasantly and the beer does not have the classic Belgian finnesse which would hide it in plethora of flavours. This seems rather simple in comparison. There are dried fruits, burnt sugar and some spicy yeastiness, but ethanol takes the shine. Meh. Poorly drinkable though not entirely bad.

Gusher. Having been exposed to Alvinne products previously I took the precaution of opening this one in the sink. Which saved quite a bit of mopping up. Huge offwhite head. Hazy amber body with carbonation and lots of floaties. Funky earthy barnyard aroma. Dry funky earthy taste with mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish mealy mouthfeel, flat. Dry fruity earthy aftertaste with wooden funky notes. Well. This didn’t give me much. (0.33l bottle, I don’t know where from.)

Flaske fra Belgisk Bryg, på hytta. Heldigvis var jeg blitt advart så jeg åpnet denne over vasken. Glasset fyltes av beige skum og en aroma av godt modne jordbær brer seg. Smaken er litt bitrere, og har også overmodne grønne epler i seg. Vitaminene varmer i magen. Bruset munnfølelse, tørr avslutning.
