Much like its legendary predecessors, this Yeti is big, bold, and dark. The addition of rolled oats softens Yeti's notoriously roasty backbone, and the small amount of raisins added in the brew kettle creates a unique dark fruit character. Just as admired as those that came before it, Oatmeal Yeti Imperial Stout is a gentle beast.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a nice brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with some black chocolate notes with subtle dry raisins notes is quite enticing. Taste is a great mix of roasted malt with rich black chocolates notes with the oat malt bringing some smooth notes with dry raisins notes adding another layer of complexity. Body is full with good carbonation with no apparent alcohol notes. Very well brewed imperial stout with the dry raisin notes adding interesting flavours.

Bottle, CanBIF. 2015 bottling date. Dark brown. Thin, bubbly head. Rich, fruity, oaty? Well definitely a deep fruity aroma with minerally chocolate notes. Rich and thick. Quite bitter - leafy hops and bitter chocolate, and it hasn’t faded. Rich fruity depths - orchard fruits and raisins alike. Tobacco. Delicious...malt, fruit, oats, hop, chocolate...really good. Loving this one.

Svart med høyt lys brunt skum. Lukter havre, mørk sjokolade, kakaopulver og noe kaffe. Fyldig. Smaker lakris, mot salmiakk lakris, lett kaffe og kakaobitter. Middels lang.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Pitch black with beige head that leaves lacing.Heavily roasted with some vanilla, caramel and coffee. Taste of oats, raisin coffee, quite floral perfume and some citurs. Feels weird and taste is not very well balanced for me.

Bottle picked up at Smokes n Suds in Lewiston, enjoyed this some time back in January. Not a lot of notes by hand on this one, I’ve had Yeti and the variants several times now and it’s always a favorite. Beautiful appearance is dark dark brown, nearly black with a thick brown head. Aroma is thick and rich with roast, cocoa, and an underlying sweetness. Silky smooth and moderately dense, big flavors of roast, dark chocolate, and oats. A little bit sweet mixed in there, but predominately roast and bittersweet chocolate. Finishes rich and smooth. Worthy of a 4+ rating which is sort of standard for me with the Yeti clan.

Bottle 355ml (Beer Hunters). Dark opaque color, small beige head. Aroma has vanilla, toasted chocolaty malts. Medium-bodied. Roasted malty with typical oaty soft palate. Coffee beans, dark chocolate, some warming alcohol. Another good Yeti.
