4 oz draft, guest tap @ Blaze Bangor. Aroma is BIG maple and soft pecan. Good Lord! That is a maple Covered pecan! Thick body and smooth texture. But gosh damn that is sweet! For sure, a dessert stout. 4 oz is about enough. There is a thing such as…. To much maple.

Bottle, at Patricks. A dark brown to black one, with a small beige head. The aroma has lots of pecan nut, with chocolate and coffee. It's sweet and full bodied, softly carbonated, with a light bitterness and alcohol warmth. Nuts, chocolate and some roasted malts and coffee in the flavor. Lasting finish. Too sweet, but nice. 240223

(Draught at Omnipollos Hatt, Stockholm, 4 Nov 2022) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark chocolate, roasted nuts and black coffee. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, coffee, roasted pecan nuts, blueberries, vanilla and a sweetish finish with a mild roasty bitterness. Full body, thick and heavy mouthfeel. Sweet (but not as sweet as feared). On the sweet and heavy side, but really rich and tasty. Great beer!

Appearance is black, with a tiny fizzy head which quickly goes. Aroma is chocolate, maple, coffee, treacle toffee, fudgy dark malt, caramel sauce, caramel shortbread. Taste is chocolate, bitter coffee, roast malt, clingy bitterness, cocoa, sweet maple undertones, clingy sweet finish with roasty malt. Lingering chocolate sweetness. Oily smooth mouthfeel, no hint of abv really.

From a 330ml bottle on 4/4/2022. Pours the deepest of brown with the barest of heads. Has a lovely chocolate cake nose with dollops of nuts and maple syrup, and a whiff of booze. Tastes the same as it smells - definitely has a cakey/pancakey vibe, along with some vanilla and sweet cream. Finishes with a moderate, slightly charred, soy bitterness. Has a syrupy/oily palate and moderate carbonation. A truly decadent dessert treat.
