Sampled draft @ Borefts 2013. Black with a small mocha head. Nose is creamy roast, burned malts & mocha, caramel, sweet. Taste is clearly porter but a lot creamier than most examples from the style, coffee, touch milk with sugar, caramel, burned coffee & reasonably corasted malt, sweet chocolate. Very creamy body for the style. Another nice offering from Emelisse.

Thick beige-cream head, big bubbled over nearly totally opaque brown beer, with faint orange linings. Smoked, charcoal, nuts, roasted chestnuts, ash-roasted jacket potatoes. Bitter going slowly via roasted notes into something nearly sweet, but very roasted. Long lasting roasted & smoked flavours, but not phenolic. Medium bodied, grist slickness, very faintly burning MF. Good porter - indeed a new one on me, Kees.

Bottle at Borefts 2013. Poured a deep mahogany with a frothy tan head. The aroma is weak malt, The flavour is medium bitter with a lovely malty liqourice dark chocolate palate. This beer has lots of body unlike many other porters.
