Hops, hops, hops. The Kompaan 58 Handlanger has skipped the process of a normal IPA and has hopped over to adulthood. Backwards engineering! Lots of hops: Simcoe, Amarillo and El Dorado and three kinds of malts. A full flavored double IPA of 8.2%, but beware!

This beer is strong, but doesn’t taste as quite as dangerous--just like a night on the town with your “handlangers” (accomplices). Citrusy notes in smell and taste in combination with a tropical fruit palate and a bittersweet aftertaste.

Bottle 330ml @ Geokkjer
Pours hazy deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, cooked vegetable, citrus and hint of alcohol. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long malty and slightly bitter finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Bad bottle and too sweet for my liking..

Bottle. A big, light beige colored head sits on top of a lightly hazy dark golden body. The aroma is very vegetal, with orange zest and some pale malts. Equally vegetal flavor, with some citrus zest and resins. Some malts too. Less cooked vegetables in the flavor than in the aroma, but it’s still not very good. Full body and a soft carbonation. Lasting finish. Not a beer I feel an urge to repeat. 150524
