On tap at Arendsnest. Clear brown colour, light-beige head. Aroma of caramel, nuts, a hint of chocolate and cocoa, light yeasty. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, brown malts, caramel, nuts, light floral, yeast, hint of chocolate, light-bitter finish. Light to medium-bodied. OK, but not what I expected.

Bottle. Brown pour, small white head. Strange aroma of pepper. Taste of sweet malt, pepper and some grassy nuts or something. Really weird and not very good.

Nice roasted malts in the aroma. Flavour is a bit weak but has a bittersweet roasted finish. Low carbonation.

33 cl bottle @ home. Clear deep dark brown color. Beige head with short retention. Aroma’s: herbs, spices, dark malts, earthy hops. Retronasal it’s sweet malts, herbs & spices, some (sweet) fruit). Flavor is rather sweet, with a light bitter backbone and some spices. Medium bodied. Finishes slightly dry, a bit herbal, moderate bitter. Not sure I would call it a saison, but it’s a nice enough beer.
