Deep blonde in colour, Barbãr’s creamy head gives off a powerful aroma, unobtrusively scented with honey and accompanied by a bouquet of floral, spicy and citrus notes.

I guess i just don’t like honey in beers. And I don’t really like lagers. It looks the part, but smells like honey and sweat. And it’s too sweet. Not very good.

330ml bottle from Beer Hawk - Rich amber body, white foamy head, constant carbonation keeping it fresh. Dreaded having Barbãr due to my dislike of honeyed beers, but this wasn’t bad. I had difficulty picking out le miel in the aroma, but instead picked a cane sugary sweetness in its place. The taste is very sweet, with the booze adding more syrupy texture to it. Not bad, and not as bad as I feared.

Riktigt god.

11.2oz bottle served in official hazy glass at Brasserie V. Golden-tan body, big white head. Mellow honey bread aroma. Smooth, bug malt tones, pleasant honey undertone. Unique and highly enjoyable. World Class honey beer all the way, smooth and fluffy on the palate. Almost medium bodied...Belgian palate mirage. Clean and well executed, a great go to Belgian.

Dark golden blond colour. Sweet aroma, a bit fruity and some honey too. Flavour has overall sweetness which matches well with the slighty thick, sticky texture.

33 cl bottle @ Hospoda Korbel, Seinäjoki. Rated on 25.01.2009
Aroma has brown sugar, some citrus and honey – feels a bit like homemade mead. Flavour has pear esthers, lots of honey, some sugary notes and citrus. Hints of alcohol on some sips. Probably still the best honey beer I’ve had as this is not too sweet or sticky like all other honey beers I’ve had.
